Hayden Heights
Saint Paul Public Library is co-creating, with the community, a vision to transform Hayden Heights Library.
Update on Hayden Heights Library
July 2, 2026 Update
Renovation work continues with contractors currently installing the electric rough-ins to provide an outline for locations of electrical wiring, circuits, and panels. Crews are framing new walls and soffits to shape the updated layout, and interior wall installation is underway, helping define the structure of the renovated areas.

Call for Artists
Saint Paul Public Library (SPPL) is seeking talented artists and/or artist teams to create original, community-centered artwork to be installed permanently in the renovated Hayden Heights Library building. Selected artists will collaborate with SPPL to design permanent works that reflect the diversity, culture, and values of Saint Paul residents, especially those historically excluded from public libraries and civic spaces.
This is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ), not a call for design proposals. Concept drawings and full proposals are not required to submit your intent! View the full RFQ here.
