Transforming Libraries – Hayden Heights

Transforming Libraries

Hayden Heights

Saint Paul Public Library is co-creating, with the community, a vision to transform Hayden Heights Library.

Update on Hayden Heights Library

June 2, 2026 Update

Since closing in late March for major renovations, the Hayden Heights Library project contractors have completed nearly all of the demolition needed to start construction, leaving the front doorway intact as it will be remodeled at a later date. In the coming weeks, work will continue on electrical demolition, duct work, and plumbing installation.

Throughout the summer they will transform the space to include new community and study rooms, green spaces, and create a connection to the neighborhood through large windows that will create plenty of natural light. Stay tuned for updates throughout the coming months.
