Summer Spark

June 1 - August 31, 2022

Make the library your summer spot with Summer Spark, the Library's summer reading and activity challenge program that includes hands-on exploration activities and free books!

To get started, kids and teens can stop in at any Saint Paul Public Library location to pick up their Summer Spark Reading and Activity Log and a free book to keep.

Readers set their own reading and learning goals, and library staff are here to help. As kids and teens complete their goals, they get another free book and an invite to a special Summer Reader Celebration on August 20. All summer, we’ll have programs and activities for families, including Take and Make kits, technology-focused pop-up programs, outdoor performances, and more.

Reading Goals

How much do you want to read this summer?

Set a goal to challenge yourself!

We recommend you read at least 20 minutes per day.

Pick up a Reading & Activity Log at the library and mark off one space for each day you meet your reading goal or complete and activity.

When you reach a milestone, visit the library to celebrate your accomplishment!
