Saint Paul Public Library is committed to our patrons’ privacy. We avoid keeping patron data that is not necessary and we limit who has access to patron data, in accordance with the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 13.
Library Accounts
In accordance with Minnesota Statute 13.04 Subd. 2, the following patron data collected and maintained by Saint Paul Public Library is private and may not be disclosed for other than library purposes:
- Data that links a patron’s name with materials requested or borrowed.
- Data that links a patron's name with a specific subject request.
- All data other than the name of the applicant that is provided as a part of a library card application.
Website Privacy
BiblioCommons
Saint Paul Public Library works with BiblioCommons to provide online library services. When you use Saint Paul Public Library services that say "Powered by BiblioCommons" at the bottom of the page, you are using BiblioCommons services and any information that is collected or shared is governed by the BiblioCommons Privacy Statement.
Google Analytics
Saint Paul Public Library uses Google Analytics to track information about how patrons use the library website. Aggregated data is used for statistical purposes and to inform website improvements.
