The Saint Paul Public Library presents Library Go, a program to provide free, virtual public library cards for all students in Saint Paul.
Launched in late 2016 for all 40,000+ Saint Paul Public School students, Library Go is Saint Paul Public Library’s virtual library card program for students and educators. We are excited to expand the program to charter and private schools in 2018. Learn more about how your school can join Library Go with our Onboarding Guide.
Connecting to free resources for student success.
The library connects students to one-on-one online homework help, dozens of research databases, e-books, electronic magazines, and so much more. Always free, and now integrated into your child’s curriculum.
Easy to Use. Secure.
All new virtual cards will contain an easy to remember number based on existing student IDs. Physical library cards will not be issued, eliminating the potential for private information to be compromised.
Parent Choice. First.
Parents can easily opt-out of this program. Simply complete the opt-out form that was mailed to you by Saint Paul Public Schools, visit spps.org/studentrecords, or contact Student Records at 651-632-3764 to opt-out of the program. Existing student library cards will not be replaced by Library Go.
Your resources, going further.
When the library and public schools share taxpayer-funded resources, the taxpayer wins. This innovative collaboration helps students, at no additional cost.
