Get an eCard to access e-books and online resources and check out up to 10 items at the library.
You must be a resident of the City of Saint Paul, MN to apply for an eCard.
If the residency information cannot be verified, the registration will not be accepted.
Registrations that do not provide the required information will be deleted.
After you submit your information and that information has been verified, a page will display your eCard number. Please write down your library card number. If you provide an email address, the card number will also be emailed to you.
Your eCard number will work with the library's online services immediately.
Your eCard will allow you to place holds on items in the catalog and check out up to 10 physical items from the library.
Use your eCard at self-checkout machines by logging into the library mobile app and displaying your digital barcode.
If you have already registered with the Saint Paul Public Library, you do not need to complete this form.
Do not use this form if you are already registered but have lost your card. Please visit any library location for a replacement.
To convert an eCard to a card with full borrowing privileges, please apply in person at any Saint Paul Public Library location and provide valid ID.

- Your name matches a name that is already in the library's patron database.
- Address is not a residential address in Saint Paul, MN.
