Mobile Hotspots

Saint Paul residents can check out a wireless hotspot for free, high-speed internet service.

Borrower Eligibility

Borrowers must have a Saint Paul Public Library card.

Borrowers must be a resident of the City of Saint Paul.

Borrowers can have no more than $10 in fees owed to the library.

How to Borrow

Hotspots can be put on hold and picked up at any Saint Paul Public Library locations.

Check the catalog to see if a hotspot is available or place one on hold.

Lucky Day Hotspots (begins May 14, 2024)

All locations have a collection of "Lucky Day" hotspots that can be checked out but may not be put on hold. Stop by a library location to see what is available and check one out.

Loan Terms

Hotspots can be checked out for two weeks.

One hotspot may be checked out per person.

When borrowing a hotspot, patrons must agree to abide by the terms of the library's internet use policy and the hotspot vendor's acceptable use policy.

Hotspots may not be renewed.

Internet service will be turned off if a hotspot is overdue.

A replacement fee is billed after a hotspot is 14 days overdue.

  • Hotspot: $70
  • Charger: $5
  • Cord: $5
  • Case: $5
