To Kill a Mockingbird

"Believe it or not, I had never read this book before! I saw Aaron Sorkin's stage production of "To Kill a Mockingbird" and thought it was brilliant. Dove into the book to see where the storytelling diverged. It's really a chilling and frustrating snapshot of America at the time. It is sadder recognizing things have not changed much. The hoods have been put away but hatred still runs deep. The way Scout gently makes a grown man back away from the planned lynching was artful. It also makes one appreciate a good southern accent with all seriousness.
