Community Open House: Design Direction

April 23, 2022

  • Riverview: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
  • Hayden Heights: 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.
  • Hamline Midway: 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Review updated building design concepts and provide feedback for transformed Hamline Midway, Hayden Heights, and Riverview Libraries.

City administration will share a decision on direction with the community in May. After the design direction has been determined, the community engagement and schematic design process will continue with more opportunities for community members to provide feedback for decisions such as the look and feel of the libraries' spaces, furniture and finishings, and more.

At the April 23 open house, you can learn more about what has been heard so far from community members regarding the priorities and features of the transformed libraries; review and provide feedback on the updated building design concepts that respond to community input and the community-informed vision for libraries in Saint Paul; and learn more about the high-level costs associated with each building concept.

Concepts and information from the meeting, as well as a form to provide additional feedback, will be posted online at sppl.org/transforming-libraries from April 25–April 29.
