New Features and New Content for Online Language Learning

There have been several updates to the Transparent Language Online, opens a new window language learning resource in the past few months. New features include more advanced classes, ASL, more indigenous languages, and ways to learn offline.

Courses can now be downloaded, opens a new window into the Transparent Language Online mobile app for offline learning.

Beginner-level courses are available in 120+ languages. Patrons now have access to higher-level courses in the most popular languages, including:

• Arabic (Iraqi, Levantine, MSA)
• Chinese
• Farsi
• French
• Hebrew
• Korean
• Pashto
• Russian
• Spanish
• Urdu

Courses designed to take down the language barriers that come between patrons and their co-workers and customers.

Patrons can now improve their communication skills with Workforce English Essentials, opens a new window. Available now for native speakers of Arabic, Spanish, and Ukrainian. 

These Business English courses expand on the English language learning courses, opens a new window already available in Transparent Language Online, including English Immersion and English for speakers of specific languages (including Amharic, Hmong, Spanish, Urdu and more).

Beginner ASL, opens a new window has been expanded and an ASL for Librarians, opens a new window course is now available.
