YLC: Motivated, Collaborative, and Creative Teens
The Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is the library’s advisory board for teens. Headquartered at Arlington Hill’s Createch Studio, the YLC plans events and shares ideas for the library’s teen services. It’s also a fun way to get involved in the community and meet other teens!
YLC Summer 2018
YLC members will be working together with Saint Paul Neighborhood Network (SPNN) to put on the annual Music, Movies, and Munchies. The group will meet once a week for six weeks (July 2 - August 6) as well as host the event (August 2)
Meetings will take place at both the Arlington Hills Createch Studio and SPNN and MMM will take place at Arlington Hills Community Center. Staff will work with teens to figure out transportation should this be a barrier to participating
In addition to building leadership skills and gaining valuable volunteer experience, members will also receive a cash stipend for participating and enjoy snacks at every meeting.
New members should apply via the Google Form by JUNE 14. Interviews will take place the following week (June 18 - 22) and decisions will be made by June 25.
