Resources for People who don’t have Home Internet or Computer Access

Computers and internet access are near-essentials today, especially in a time of social distancing.

We've compiled some local resources that can help with home internet access and computer hardware.

Internet Access

Comcast Xfinity

  • For 60 days (beginning March 13) no late fees, no disconnects for any business or residential service and no data limits.
  • Xfinity WiFi hotspots free during this time, no existing account required. When in a hotspot, select xfinitywifi in networks and open a browser.

Comcast Internet Essentials | 855-846-8376

  • Low-income families may qualify for a monthly $9.95 internet plan. New customers receive two months of free service.

PCs for People

  • Low-cost hardware and hotspots for qualifying low-income individuals and non-profits. Families affected by school closures are also eligible.
  • Online orders open 24 hours.
  • Minnesota location open by appointment.

Tech Dump

  • Secure electronic recycling and IT management services.
  • Physical operations temporarily suspended in adherence to MN "Stay at Home" order. Limited functions continuing remotely.
