Do you want to make a difference in your community? Do you enjoy working with children? Volunteer to be a reading mentor through Reading Together at the Saint Paul Public Library! Enhance a student's love of reading. We need positive adult volunteers to commit one hour per week to work with a child especially at our east side and north end libraries.
As a Reading Mentor, you can:
- Build a mentoring relationship with a student in grades 1-5 by spending quality, consistent, one-to-one time throughout the academic year.
- Help children practice their reading skills
- Foster the joy of reading by connecting through books that children love, mentorship and creative play.
The Reading Together program is a fun and rewarding opportunity to make a lifelong difference in a child’s life. Read Michelle and Salman's story: Reading Gives Salman a Foundation for Learning (The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library)
