Another snow day?! The library can help.

We know that snow days can be challenging for families. The library is here to support you with free resources, materials, and programs! If your kids are enrolled with Saint Paul Public Schools or Avalon, they already have instant, virtual access to the library with Library Go. Learn more about Library Go below!

How can my kids access Library Go?

It's easy! All SPPS and Avalon students already have virtual library cards using a combination of their unique student ID numbers and date of birth.

  • Barcode: 22091600 + 6 digit SPPS ID
  • PIN: Your Birthday (MMDDYYYY)

  • Barcode: 22091900 + 6 digit Avalon ID
  • PIN: Your Birthday (MMDDYYYY)

Check out e-books or e-audiobooks from home or visit the library.

Students can check out up to 5 items from the library, including e-books and e-audiobooks if you can't make it to your local branch! We recommend getting started with OverDrive for Kids & Teens for the latest materials. Learn more about the library's digital downloads.

Get free one-to-one tutoring with online homework help

Students can access FREE online homework help, including one-to-one online tutors available every day, 1-11 p.m. Tutoring is available in English and Spanish.

Explore new worlds from home.

Students can also access any of our FREE online databases. Learn about world geography and cultures with CultureGrams; find reliable information from magazines, encyclopedias, and dictionaries on a wide range of subjects with Explora Kids; and more!
