Hot Spot Community Learning Center - Arlington Hills LibraryThe Hot Spot Community Learning Center, at the Arlington Hills Library, is home to programs to help community members of all ages.

Programs for adults revolve around the different aspects of job searching. Teens can get homework help. Preschoolers can get listening and pre-reading experience. English language learners have a weekly opportunity to practice with others.

English Conversation Circle

Mondays, 6 - 7:30 p.m.
Free English practice at the conversation circle. Come and practice speaking English.

Tot Spot Storytime

Tuesdays, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Programs and activities designed for toddlers and preschoolers.

Storytimes offer a valuable listening and pre-reading experience for children of all ages.

A variety of books and activities cater to infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families.

Resumé Building, Basic Computer Skills and Job Searching Assistance

Mondays and Wednesdays: 12:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Tuesdays: 11:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Thursdays and Fridays: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Come to the Hot Spot to learn how to use the computer, internet, and write a winning resumé or cover letter.

Computers available for job search, staff are on site to assist, and no appointments are necessary.

Help looking for a job, filling out applications, writing resumes, and writing cover letters is available free from a job search representative from Goodwill/Easter Seals every other Wednesday in the Hot Spot Community Learning Center. No appointment is required.

Homework Help

Mondays and Wednesdays: 3:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Open to all ages. If you need help with homework or need a computer to type a paper, visit the Hot Spot for assistance.
