Hayden Heights Branch Library History and Photo Album

A Hayden Heights Library Group was organized in 1939 and opened a library in the Hayden Heights School.

To great fanfare on April 2, 1955, the Hayden Heights Branch was opened on the southwest corner of White Bear and Arlington Avenues. The building cost $85,000 to construct.

Read the April 1955 Souvenir Edition of the New Hayden Heights Branch Library (8M PDF file).

The building at the present location, 1456 White Bear Ave. N, was opened in 1979.
