Solar Eclipse at the Library

Due to high demand, many locations have run out of extra eclipse glasses. However, we are excited to offer a number of free programs where eclipse glasses will be given out to attendees on a first come, first served basis. See the full list below.

On Aug. 21, 2017, people across the United States will see the sun disappear behind the moon, turning daylight into twilightcausing the temperature drop rapidly and revealing massive streamers of light streaking through the sky around the silhouette of the moon. On that day, America will fall under the path of a total solar eclipse .  The library is hosting a number of programs before and during the eclipse. Supplies are limited.  Learn more about the eclipse itself at Space.com.
